      Biographical Note: Clara Wendt was born on September 24th, 1927, in Seattle, Washington. She attended Linfield and graduated in 1950, proceeding to work as a teacher and librarian with Jackson County and the Medford School District in Oregon for 33 years. Wendt was involved in many organizations, including the Jacksonville Lions Club, the Jacksonville Boosters Club, the Peter Britt Music Festival, the Order of Eastern Star, and more. Clara Wendt died on January 3rd, 2018.
