This collection is made up of various genres and recorded mediums capturing academic life in and involving Linfield College in Oregon and abroad. The total series count is seven: 1885-1939, 1940-1969, 1970-1979, 1980-1989, 1990-2012; Portraits, Trustees, and Campus Buildings; and Professional Photographers. Series 1 through 5, arranged by decade, narrates student life through photographs, glass lantern slides, and negatives. Series 6 is organized to complement the very broad span of years its portrait, landscape, and architectural photographs represent. Series 7 is dedicated to several dozen boxes of photographs, clip art, slides, and negatives, as produced by professional Oregon photographers and the Office of Institutional Advancement.

The collection includes photographs, articles, correspondences, and other documentation. The collection ranges from 1890 to 2012. The collections materials are all from Good Samaritan School of Nursing located in McMinnville, Oregon.
