General note

Biographical Note
Peter List is a professor emeritus of philosophy at Oregon State University. Originally from Michigan, he moved to Corvallis in early 1968, where he met David Lett, who would become the owner of Eyrie Vineyard. Over the next forty years, List documented his own winemaking efforts, as well as those of Lett and other contemporaries.

General note

Summary: This collection contains material concerning winegrowing and winemaking in the Willamette Valley of Oregon from the 1970s through the late 2000s. A majority of the material is comprised of handwritten winemaking notes and academic approaches to the nascent Oregon wine industry. There are also reminiscences of, and collateral for events at, Eyrie Vineyards.
