Historical Note: Ronni Lacroute is the co-owner of WillaKenzie Estate and a Trustee for Linfield College. She was named Wine Person of the Year in 2011 because of her philanthropic support of the arts and education. Ronni and her then-husband Bernard Lacroute purchased a cattle ranch in 1991 and turned it into WillaKenzie Estate. WillaKenzie Estate is located in Yamhill, Oregon in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The first vines were planted in 1992, and additional plantings continued through 2001. Today, WillaKenzie Estate is a 420-acre estate, with a state-of-the-art, multi-level, gravity-flow winery which was completed in 1995 just in time to process their first crop of grapes.
