    General note

Historical Note: Ronni Lacroute is the former co-owner of WillaKenzie Estate and Trustee for Linfield College. She was named Wine Person of the Year in 2011 because of her philanthropic support of the arts and education. Ronni and her then-husband Bernard Lacroute purchased a cattle ranch in 1991 and turned it into WillaKenzie Estate. WillaKenzie Estate is located in Yamhill, Oregon in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The first vines were planted in 1992, and additional plantings continued through 2001. Today, WillaKenzie Estate is a 420-acre estate, with a state-of-the-art, multi-level, gravity-flow winery which was completed in 1995 just in time to process their first crop of grapes.
