This collection contains team paperwork, tournament schedules and rankings, awards, newspaper articles, photographs, and other memorabilia associated with the Linfield Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams. There are also materials covering Willamette University’s Tennis team, as well as Linfield publications and public relations’ materials.

General note
Summary: This collection contains materials documenting the Linfield Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams over a span of nearly two decades, collected by Tennis head coach, Carl Swanson.
General note
Biographical Note: Carl Swanson coached tennis at Linfield for 19 years. Before coming to Linfield, he coached tennis at Willamette University. Since starting as a coach, Swanson has been honored as Coach of the Year in the Northwest Conference (NWC) nine times, worked with over 50 all-NWC players, and has won 14 conference championships.
Swanson graduated from the University of Oregon’s School of Law and is a licensed attorney in the state of Oregon. Beyond coaching, he works in the Department of Student Affairs at Linfield where he serves as a Conduct and Community Standards Officer.
