Wine and food ephemera, mostly related to Elk Cove Vineyard and Pacific Northwest Wine industry ephemera.

The Jim McDaniel Papers include correspondence, newspaper articles, land sale documents and loan documents pertaining to the purchase of the land and equipment used to create and maintain the McDaniel Vineyard. The paper records also contain written records of grape crops and sales contracts. Photographs include images of the early days of the vineyard plantings, harvest parties, neighboring vineyard and winery owners, the family home and photos of the area surrounding the vineyard.

Materials cover Margery Stewart Hamstreet's time at Linfield College. Materials are primarily paper-based but also contain varsity letters and a cotton letterman sweater.

The collection contains mostly paper documents, but there can also be found an audio recording, a few photo sets, some poster boards, and a medal. This collection was largely compiled by Susan and Bill Sokol Blosser over the years that they ran the winery. The records consist of mostly business, finance, and publicity, but there is also a plethora of information about the history and the day to day proceedings of the winery. Information on the wine, the vines, the buildings, the properties, the people, the associates, the business, and the founder are included in the collection.

This collection contains documentation of climate records, early organizational minutes and notes for the Wine Grower’s Council of Oregon (now known as the Oregon Wine Board), research publications from Oregon State University for Oregon wine growers and winemakers as well as academic research notes and articles pertaining to the growing of grapes, which includes the costs associated with starting a vineyard. There is also a small amount of documentation pertaining to land use and legislative issues.

Seven boxes of materials related to Helen’s life at Linfield as well as many other institutions and also her personal affairs. the collection contains letters, journals, class notes, assignment sketches, and many photos of both Helen’s work, her farm, and herself.

This collection contains harvesting details: amount of grapes harvested, weather patterns, schedules for harvesting, varieties of grapes harvested, and comparisons to other local vineyards; spray programs: types of pesticides used, amount used, cost of such pesticides, information on how to use spray programs, and schedules for spray programs; financial records: cost of equipment, payment to employees, and sales; soil analysis: records of testing done by OSU, nutrient deficiencies, and propositions for nutrient supplements; disease and disaster records: phylloxera infestation, disaster relief form and reply, and prevention and treatment research and documentation; Oregon Wine Advisory Board: newsletters, regional data, and notices.

The collection includes French and Oregon wine bottles, wine glasses from various celebrations and events, numerous wine bottle corks, cork screw, books on wine and a small sampling of documents pertaining to wine events in Oregon, such as wine labels and wine event passports. This collection also contains a pair of shears that are said to have been used to prune Amity Vineyards’ original vine stock in Oregon.
